About Me

I’m an office clerk, a wife and a mother. We have one son who’s going-on-eight, and is just what you’d expect the offspring of an irresistible force and an immovable object. We are a family if science-loving eccentrics who have been asked outright if we’re Mythbusters and are always in the middle of a half dozen projects. And we’re all funny. It’s why people keep us around.

Words Go Here

Summer, 2012

Although there’s a lot in my blog that’s focused on the fandom-based cult that I was in, I write about plenty of other things. Movie reviews, recipes, gratuitous pictures of my kid, my opinions on Prozac. Whatever I feel like, really. I also have ADHD, which constantly surprises me with the ways it affects my life. I’ve been writing since I was a child, banging away on my Apple IIc. I know too much about pop culture, love bad movies and really good cheese, can’t dance but will sing karaoke, and I like to fucking swear.

I also make costumes, some of which I sell. I like playing dress-up and cosplaying, and spent about five years dressing up as Princess Fiona from Shrek on Hollywood Boulevard (and a few months as Jadis, the White Witch from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe).

This costume took first place in the contest it was commissioned for.

If you’re looking for background on the cult, you can either check out posts in the category The Crazy Train, or you can just read The Appendices (coming soon).
